This foot bridge, while not an expensive
project, was very interesting. The soil around
each footing had to be improved with our special process before the concrete footings could be poured.
After the footings were in, the construction
went smoothly, and was finished more than a
month ahead of schedule, and $12,000 under
budget. The soil improvements consumed a large
portion of our budget, which we had not
expected. However, the bridge is now one of
our prize accomplishments.
This small foot bridge and building were
assembled for a large, private garden in
northern Maine. The bridge is made completely
of carbon-fiber elements, which makes it very
light and strong. This project, though
completed early by over 3 weeks, ran almost
$23,500 over budget. The first carbon-fiber
structures we installed had not been
autoclaved correctly, and shattered when
secured to the footings on each side.
At CEG, safety and quality are always our priority.
